Mentoring

One of the best parts of working in a museum is the opportunity to mentor and work with students. I am so proud of all the students I have mentored over the years. Many came to me through the Teen Science Scholars program, whose goal is to encourage students who have been historically marginalized or underrepresented to consider pursuing careers in science. They have the opportunity to work with professionals, explore career choices and present their work in an end-of-summer event.
